    -She founded the monasteries of Repertsberg in 1150 & Eibingen in 1165
    -She had records of material on natural cures & medicine
    -Hildegard wrote "Physica", a text on natural sciences & also "Causae et Curae"
    -Hildegard was known for her healing powers, including application of tinctures, herbs, & precious stones
    -An example of her healing powers was curing the blind with the use of Rhine water

    He invented the parachute, the helicopter, an armored fighting vehicle, the use of concentrated solar power & a calculator
    His work as a scientist and an inventor made him a true Renaissance man.
    He opened up new ways of looking and thinking about the world.
