    This act made it so that no one could be discriminated against and everyone would receive the same and equal education. This helped multicultural education because everyone was able to be equal in the educational setting which allowed more cultures into the school system. This was able to give all students a broader outlook on culture.

    Case of Lau vs. Nicholas
    This case deemed that the Failure of the San Francisco school district to teach Chinese-American students was a violation of Civil Rights. They then had to teach english to all of these students which encorperated more cultre into the school
  • Education of All Handicapped Children Act

    Education of All Handicapped Children Act
    This act provided that all students, even with special needs were entitled to free schooling. The schools then had to provide personalized tutoring and teaching to those who needed the extra assistance.

    This allowed for the bilingual students to learn in a regular school which allowed for culture and multicultural education to grow through out the schools.
  • The Tribally Controlled Community College Act

    The Tribally Controlled Community College Act
    This act provided financial assistance to those who lived in the tribal community to be able to attend college. This allowed those in this culture to comine with others in a college setting, creating a multicultural enviornment.

    This provided schools with the funds to provide for unexpected large amounts of immigrant students. This allows for more immigrant students to be able to go to school which creates a more multicultural enviornment.
  • City Acadamy High School Opens

    City Acadamy High School Opens
    This was the first ever charter school in the nation to open in St. Paul, Minnesota. This allows several more students to attend school in an environment they feel comfortable learning in. This will provide more opportunity for multiculutral educaiton to flourish.

    Minnesota League votes to allow transgender students to join female sports teams. This allows the culture of transgender to be seen not only in classrooms but on sports teams. It has been proven that those students on sports teams tend to attend school more often and get more out of their education. Overall this will bring the culture of transgender more open to schools.

    Obama makes an act that provides two free years of schooling for any American. This allows several more students to attend school bringing lower soceoeconomic status students to higher education
