Jun 1, 1905 Binet and Simon, French researchers, develop tests to identify and measure a child's intelligence in numerical form. Jun 1, 1921 Lewis Terman begins his longitudinal study of gifted people. It is the longest running study of gifted individuals to date. Jun 1, 1954 The National Association of Gifted Children is established under Ann Issacs. Jun 1, 1998 National Association of Gifted Children establishes Pre-K though 12th grade standards for programs serving gifted youth. Jun 1, 2002 With the passing of No Child Left Behind the definition of "gifted" is once again changed.
