    Thrugood Marshall argued that “separate but equal” from Plessy v. Ferguson was unequal since there were separate schools for black and white students and violated the “equal protection clause” of the Fourteenth amendment of the Constitution.This was the end to segregation in public schools. The Court decided it was unconstitutional and unequal.
