  • First computer game

    Spacewar the first computer game. It was in 1962 when a young computer programmer from MIT, Steve Russell fueled with inspiration from the writings of E. E. "Doc" Smith, created the first computer video game.
  • First mouse

    The first computer mouse was publicly unveiled in 1968 by its inventor, Douglas C. Engelbart. He invented the computer mouse in 1964 — two decades before it would ship with the first Apple Macintosh.
  • The first floppy disk

    In June 1969, the Minnow was added to the IBM System 370 and soon began to be used by other divisions in IBM. In 1970, the name was changed to Igar and Noble had a staff of 25 engineers to help him make improvements. By 1971, Igar became the 33FD disk drive and the 8-inch floppy disk became the Type 1 diskette.
  • first apple computer

    The original Apple Computer 1 also known retroactively as the Apple I or Apple-1 was released by the Apple Computer Company in 1976. They were designed and hand-built by Steve Wozniak. Wozniak's friend Steve Jobs had the idea of selling the computer. The Apple I was Apple's first product and to finance its creation Jobs sold his only means of transportation a VW Microbus and Wozniak sold his HP-65 calculator for $500 it was demonstrated in July 1976 at the Homebrew Computer Club in Palo Alto Cal
  • The first home computer

    The most popular home computers in the USA up to 1985 were: the TRS-80 (1977), various models of the Apple II family (first introduced in 1977), the Atari 400/800 (1979) along with its follow up models the 800XL and 130XE, and the Commodore VIC-20 (1980) and the Commodore 64 (1982).
  • Invention of email

    Shiva Ayyadurai, a man who claims he invented email as in 1978 at the age of 14 while working at a medical and Dentistry University in New Jersey. Today, Ayyadurai is a lecturer at MIT, and he once studied with Chomsky.
  • First laptop

    The laptop was invented by Adam Osborne in 1981. It was called Osborne 1 and cost $1,795. It came bundled with $1,500 worth of programmes. It had a tiny computer screen built into it.

  • The first IPhone

    On June 29, 2007 the first iPhone was released. On June 11, 2007 announced at the Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference that the iPhone would support third-party applications using the Safari engine on the device. Third parties would create the Web 2.0 applications and users would access them via the internet.
