    The Lewis and Clark Journey West
    The Lewis and Clark Expidition took place because the U.S wanted to let people know in the Louisiana territory that they know own their land. Also so they could explore Louisiana, make a map, and find a water passage. But they didn't find a water passge. They found 200 speices of animals instead.     Over 300,000 people traveled by wagon, ship, or foot to California to get gold. The gold was founded by James W. Marshall. The gold rush was global. Latin America, Europe, Australia, and Asia all came to the gold rush. It was all just a way for people to get mor money.     At this event the amendment for women to have the right to vote was passed. This is an important event because it's finally giving women the right to be equal to men.
