    Battles of Lexington and Concord - April 19, 1775 : The battles armed between the Kingdom of Great Britain and 13 of it's colonies of Britain American. Fighting breaks out in Lexington and Concord.
  • Meeting of the Second Continental Congress

    Some wanted immediate independence no matter what while others were still loyal to King George 3rd. They did not what to war with England.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    The British defeated Americans in Massachusetts. British under command of Major General William Howe.
  • Common Sense Published

    Thomes Paine publishes common sense. It is one of the most influential pamphlets in American History.
  • Adoption of the Declaration of Independence

    Summarized the coloists motivations for seeking independence. Most of the people who singed the declaration was bron in Britain.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    A large army about 10,000 soldiers were invade from Canada into New York. A second British army was to depart from Lake Ontario and invade eastward into New York.
  • Paoli Massacre (Battle of Paoli)

    British forces did a surprise attack. The British took no prisoners.
