He was known for his very diffrent dance moves such as the pelvic thrust and many other similar forms of dancing. He was one of the most famous musicians at the time and its arguable that he is still most famous today.

He was known as one of the most controversial politician’s in the history of the U.S. He was all about segregation in his inaugural address, when the black students tried to desegregate the governor stood in front of the door physically blocking them, even though 1954’s brown v. board declared this unconstitutional.

Movement started in San Francisco, California where a group of hippies meet at the corner of Haight street and Ashbury street, which then was known as the Haight-Ashbury district.

There cause was to prevent racism against their people, and that all African Americans deserved to be treated as equal as whites. There group was known best for its rhetoric and military type of posture and the way they express their beliefs.

    June 5th 1968 almost 5 years after his brother john was shot and killed, Senator Robert Kennedy is shot at the ambassador htel in L.A after winning the california presidential primary. Kennedy was shot a few times by 22-year old palestinian Sirhan Sirhan.

    Apollo 11 was the first space launch to land humans on the moon. Neil Armstrong and buzz Aldrin were the first to walk on the surface of the moon on July 21st. Armstrong walked around for 2 hours outside the space craft collecting samples of lunar material.

    The Watergate torture was made famous because of President Nixon. This became a scandal when the burglars were caught and found out to be sent by Nixon. 1973 Nixon was chosen to be re-elected but his black cloud hovered over his head into the early 1974, the country was consumed by Watergate.
