World War 1 began when royalty in Austria Hungary was assasinated. This spark caused the fire of WW1 -
Trench Warfare
In the heat of WW1 soldiers would dig long, narrow trenches on the battle field. No matter what the weather was like the soldiers would keep digging. Most of the soldiers were forced to live in this trench. If someone of higher leadership would yell "Go over the top" they would be forced to run straight out of the trench into the battle. The Treaty of Versailles
The Treaty of Versailles was a signed document between America, France and England. They signed to a few things such as, no secret treatys with other countries, countries will reduce their weapons and armed forces. -

Americans had enough money to spend on new things like cars and fancy clothes. -
Communism in Russia
Communism is a system of government where everyone was promising equal share of Russia's wealth. It was so supported because Russians were tired of poverty. Joseph Stalin came to Rule and turned russia into a dictatorship, he destroyed their freedom. -
America in the Great Depression
The great depression affected almost every person. Anyone who wasn't affected was lucky. -

The great depression is when all countries had economy trouble. The economy made it so one for the people couldn't get a job. People started living and who reveals they were little camps for homeless people. -
Roosevelt's new deal!
Franklin Delano Roosevelt made a new deal. He fixed America by finding them jobs, regaining their faith in banks and created many organizations. Franklin Delano Roosevelt allowed America to be normal once again -
The Holocaust
The Holocaust is when the Nazis killed many Jewish people. They put them in concentration camps and put them to work. When it was all over 6 million Jews have been killed. -

Adolf Hitler took advantage of the poor German people. They would do anything to feed themselves. -
The Bombing of Pearl Harbor
In WW2 Japan decided to side with Germany. Their first attack was on Pearl Harbor. Pearl Harbor was America's main naval base. -
The Cold War
Both Russia and U.S.A were superpowers. They did not fight eachother directly. They did howeverhave enough nuclear bombs to destroy the entire population of the world. -
Korean war
The Korean war was a war when North Korea was supported by China and South Korea was supported by The United States. The war ended in 1953 as a stalemate. -
The atomic bomb
The atomic bomb was the most powerful weapon ever created, it killed thousands of people and could wipe out an entire city. It caused Japan to surrender on September 2, 1945. -
The Vietnam War
Vietnam was split into 2 countries. The communist North and th South. America joined the noncommunist side. The noncommunist side lost. -
Cold war ends
The cold war ended in 1991 when communism collapsed in the soviet union.
