    During the French and Indian War, the French and Indians joined forces against the British and Americans. They fought for land.

    During the Proclamation of 1763 the British passed a law where the Indians can have all the land west of the Appalachian Mountains.

    During the Quartering Act, the British passed a law saying that the British can go into colonists houses and live with them and the colonists weren’t very happy.

    During the Stamp Act, the British passed a law where all the papers the colonists bought must be taxed and have to have a stamp placed on them.

    Samuel Adams created group called the Committees of Correspondence. The group he formed spread around important news and told them what was happening.

    The British decided that only one company would sell the tea to the colonists. This company would sell the tea so cheap, other places couldn’t compete.

    The Sons of Liberty dressed up as Indians and dumped the tea form a incoming ship (that was carrying lots of tea) onto the harbor.

    Representatives from the colonies got together and wrote a letter to the king claiming they wanted to be treated fairly. The king didn’t listen to them and they prepared for war.
