    IN 1798, President John Adams got the Ailen and Sedation Acts passed. The Ailen and Sedation Acts allowed the president to imprision or deport aliens who they feel are unsafe to the peace of the country.     John Tyler 1841-1845 Legislative Leader
    President John Tyler vetoed ten bills in his presidency. Six of the vetoes were regular vetoes and four were pocket vetoes. He was removed from his own political party (Whig) due to the fat that he vetoes soe of their bills. The House of Representatives cosidered the first impeachment in American History, which did not end up goin through, after they had decided that he had abused the veto by vetoing a tariff bill.

    President Benjamin Harrison Signed the Antitrust Act in 1890. The Antitrust Act protected trade and commerce against unlawful restraints. This was the first Federal act to attemt regulating trusts. This act was based off of Congress' power to regulate interstate commerce. Any combination in the restraint of trade was illegal.

    President William McKinley supported bimetalism, using silver and gold along with Englan currencies, as long as England,France, Russia, and Italy went along with it. Bimetalism negotiations failed in 1897 and McKinley began campaigning for an all gold based currency. McKinley Signed the Gold Standard Act in 1900, which placed U.S. money on gold standard.

Their main argument was that everyone else in the industry was recieving aid but the people who actually provided fresh goods weren't recieving help at all. He also stripped the Federal Trade Commission and Tariff Commission, which resulted in improved foreign trade.
