    It was just before 12:30 p.m. thousands of people lined the parade route hoping for a glance at President Kennedy and his beautiful wife. After passing the Texas School Book Depository, which was situated at the corner of Houston and Elm, shots suddenly rang out. One of the shots that the shooter fired off hit President Kennedy's throat and he reached up with both hands toward the injury. Then another shot struck President Kennedy’s head. At 1 p.m. Kennedy was pronounced dead.

    The 1972 Olympic Games were in Munich, Germany. It was early in the morning eight members of the Palestinian terrorist organization, Black September snuck into the Olympic Village. German officials decided that they couldn't let the terroist leave the country so they setup a rescue attemp at the airport. The rescue attempt failed and all nine of the Israeli hostages were killed during the shoot-out. Five of the Black September members were killed and the other three were taken into custody.
