    Latin for the Great Charter. Set in place laws that are still in the english bill of rights today. It did not grant any new rights,only protected existing rights in writing. These rights included the right to a jury trial; protection of private property; limits on taxes and guaranteed religious freedom

    It is an english document saying the king is prohibited from infringing. Another thing it does is give you the right to do thing more freely then they were done before.

    An act of the parliament of England passed on Dec. 16 1689. It was a restatement in statutory form of the decleration or right, presented by the convention parliament to King William the third and Queen Mary the 2nd

    This plan was wrote by Benjamin Franklin to unite and fight as one against the French and Indian War. But the colonial legislators didnt want to give up control of their own affairs.

    The Boston Massacare was when the British regulars killed five colonists. This battle was started because the Royal troops were trying to make taxes higher.

    A political protest by the Sons of Liberty in Boston a city in the British colony of Massachusettes, against the tax policy that the importation of the tea was bringing into the harbor so they threw the tea into the harbor.

    It was a convention of delegates from the thirteen colonies. The Second Continental Congress started in Philidelphia Pennsylvania not long after the American Revolutionary War started. Because of the Second Continental Congress, they got to adopt the United States Declaration of Independence.

    The Articles of Confederation was the United States first attempt of a constitution. This constitution was directed mostly to fighting and winning the war for Independence. Lastly it granted federal powers to any central authority.

    The Philadelphia Convention was stating that there should be no power to tax. Because of this they had no money to pay soldiers nor could they pay the loans to support the effort.

    The Virginia Plan was also known as the Large-State plan. This plan was stating that representation for the New Legislature should be based off population, and not have equal representation among smaller states.

    The New Jersey Plan was insuring that smaller states got equal share of representation. It was saying no matter size or population that they should be equal.
