Lenin/Stalin
Lenin and Stalin didn't agree with communist power. Used KGB and propaganda to persuade the Russian people. This included controlling the government, education, and foreign affairs. -
Treaty of Versailles
The Treaty of Versailles consisted of an agreement with Germany and France that throughout their reign of conquering many nations, that they must return all seized french lands back to France. Germany will also make compensation for all damages made to other countries as well. -
Global Depression
The Global Depression is when the United States decided to give loans to other countries fighting the current war. Over 2.5 billion dollars was given this including to Germany. Germany was going to use the money to pay reparations and payments to other countries that suffered from them conquering their nations but decided to use it on building their military to fight even longer. This then caused an economic downfall in the rest of the world. -
Hitler's reign begins
Hitler took over Germany as a new face in government. His ruling was celebrated highly since Germany was in a rut with the rest of the world. -
Holocaust
The Holocaust was one of Hitler's main effect on life in the early 1900's. This was the segregation and killings of Jews and other minority groups in Germany and surrounding countries. A main country affected was Poland, where once it was taken over, Hitler planned to split it up with other countries (Italy, Japan, ect.). -
Hiroshima and Nagasaki
Through the United States effort to take over Japan, they wanted to make their point across that they weren't going to stop until the Japanese government surrendered. So they decided to bomb the city of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This killed millions of Japanese people and injured many more for generations. -
End of WW2
The end of World War 2 consisted of the Japanese government surrendering to the United States. Hitler's rule was ended in Germany due to his suicide. The world was now settled economically, socially, and politically.
