I loved to read the Magic Tree House books probably starting around 2nd grade. -

I loved the harry potter books. I was never a big reader and still am not the biggest reader. However, the Harry Potter books really kept my attention and I read the whole series. These books were were some of the first bigger kid books that I started reading ate elementary school. -
Books like The Giver, How to Catch a Mocking Bird, Huckleberry Finn, Of Mice & Men, etc. made me think deeper, increased my vocabulary, and comprehension skills. Out of these books The Giver was my favorite. -
In high school I learned how to write essays. -
In college I began learning more about myself and became very interested in my faith. I read a lot of Christian books to learn more about Christianity and other books that related to my interests. -
In undergrad I learned how to use APA format. -
In Grad School I have started actually using information in textbooks that I have been reading and learning how to apply the information in the textbooks to real-life special ed. classrooms that I work in as an assistant Special Ed. Teacher. -
In grad school I learned how to write IEP goals and still am.
