    1543 Nicolas Copernicus

    Publishes De Revolutionibus Orbium Coelestium.Copernicus sets out the heliocentric theory. The heliocentric theory is that the sun is the center of the solor system and that all the planets orbit the sun and not earth.

    1543 Andreas Vesalius

    Publishes On the Fabric of the Human Body where he makes observations about the structure of the human body.
  • 1618: Johannes Kepler

    Reveals His Third and Final Law of Planetary Motion which is the relation between the time of a planet's orbit and its distance from the Sun.
  • Galileo 1630

    Publishes Dialogue on the Two Chief Systems of the World which compared the theory that the earth is the center of the solor system and the theory that the sun is the center.
  • Isaac Newton 1687

    Isaac newton publishes the Philosophia Naturalis Principia Mathematica.
