SA: Broke up town meetings and defended the Nazis to the public.
He is good at getting the people to like him and he tells the people that all of the countries problems and blames the Treaty of Versailles. He doesn't emphasize hatred towards the Jews till after he has won power. -

Disappointment of the Treaty of Versailles and Italy was economically falling apart.
Outlaws political parties and he had secret police group called the Black Shirts.
Women - Relegated to the home
Italy does not become a totalitarian state because of the Catholic church.Also he is a prime minister and the king holds him back a little. -

They try to take over the government and they leave beers behind and he gets put in Jail. He writes Mein Kampf. -

Mein Kampf
A book Hitler wrote while he was in prison and translate to my struggle. First idea was that Germans are the superior and ultimate race. Number two was that he was talking about Living Space and says Germany needs more space. -

Weaknesses in the US economy: Sold 1/2 of the worlds industrial goods but people could not afford them at home.
Causes of Great Depression:Overproducing, consumerism/credit, Stock market crash, and buying on speculation meaning the idea of buying a stick and is it crashes you therefore owe all that money.
Protectionism is what happens when the Great Depression hit the US so they cut off connections from other economy. -
In Japan
Japan invades Korea and China because they are in need of more land. -
Invasion of Manchuria
Japan goes and invades China and they enslave women. Which is the first challenge of League of Nations. -
Nazis
The Nazis had about 800,000 people and they were becoming more powerful. Largest in Reichstag and Hitler was legally placed into the government and is named Chancellor in 1933 -
Hitler's attack on German Culture
Outlawed other political parties and controls mass media and thought and outlawed speech.
He then went and attacked the Jews, he removes them form government which is the Scapegoat theory. Starts concentration camps. -
Enabling Act
One month after Hitler was named Chancellor and he was probably behind the burning of the Reichstag and then they expand governmental power. He establishes SS. -
Night of Long Knives
Hitler removes the competition and ideas. He purges Germany. -
Nuremberg Laws
They tried to remove Jews and they removed citizenship,forbade intermarriage and relationships with Jews. -
The League Fails
The weaknesses in the League of Nations become apparent and it completely falls apart and everyone leaves. -
Kristallnacht
Two night attacks on Jews.
1000 synagogues and 7000 businesses destroyed. -
Anschluss
Austria votes to join Germany and Germany did not invade them. -
Nonaggression Pact
Germany and Soviet union form a nonaggression pact and divide up Poland.
