    Germany Bombs Britain
    For two months, 2,000 German aircraft flew over London and bombed the city every night.
  • Britian's Royal Air Force shoot down German planes

    Britian's Royal Air Force shoot down German planes
    On this day, the Royal Air Force of Britian, or the RAF, shot down 185 of the 2,000 German planes that had been bombing London for two months. The RAF only lost 26 of their planes. Six weeks later, the invasion of London was called off by Hitler.
