    60% of marine species were wiped out. Life began to appear on land in small forms.

    Plants formed all over the land. By the end of this period the first see bearing plant appeared.

    Terrestrial life flourished during this time, Dominant land vertibrates would eventually evolve into reptiles, Coal beds were formed all around the world.

    Diversity amongst the amniots in the mammals, turtles, lepidosaurs, an archosaurs. PANGEA. Lots of desert.

    First true mammals, Therapsis evolved during this period. Global climate was very hot and dry. Ended with a mass extinction of all dinosaurs.

    Known as the age of reptiles in some eyes. Continental climate went from dry to humid, many deserts were replaced by lush rainforests. 2 different extinction events occured during this time.

    Populated with now extinct marine reptiles. Dinosaurs dominated on land. This period ended with a mass extinction of large marine reptiles.
