  • Start of World War I

    World War 1 began 28 July 1914. It was between Britain, France and Russia vs Italy, Hungary, Germany and Turkey.
  • Anzacs landed in Gallipoli

    On April 25, 1915, the Anzacs (the Aussies) landed in Gallipoli, or Anzac Cove. They attacked the Turkish, planning to take over Dardanelles.
  • First Battle for Krithia

    On 28 April 1915, an attack was ordered on Krithia. The troupes struggled against terrain and emeny forces, and were forced to retreat on the same day.
  • Surprise Attack from Enemies

    On the 19 of May, the enemy launched a surprise attack even though their lack of artilleries. Even though Anzacs were outnumbered, they still fought well. On 24 May a truce was made for all the dead to be buried.
  • Third Attack on Krithia

    On 4 of June, a third attack on Kritha. Nine thousand enemy forces died, but 6,500 Anzacs also died. Only a little bit of land was gained.
  • Battle of Lone Pine

    From 6 of August to 10 of August, 1915 was the Battle of Lone Pine. The 1st Brigade charged the Turkish forces, but almost 2,300 died at Lone Pine.It was a success, but had no large affect on the Gallipoli Campaign.
  • Evacuation From gallipoli

    From 15 December to 20 December 1915, Anzacs were evacuated from gallipoli. As it hit winter, many men suffered deadly frostbite and had to be evacuated. Soon after, all troops decided to withdraw.
  • End of World War I

    On 11 November, 1918 World War 1 finally ended. On June 28, 1919, Germany and Britain, France, Russia signed the Treaty Of Versailles, officially ending World War 1
