t was in 1609 when Galileo heard of an Instrument called a telescope. This ingenious object fascinated Galileo to craft one of his own. His was 980mm long and was crafted out of wood and leather. The telescope contained two objective lenses. This modification made the telescope magnify x32. The new and improved telescope was well received and brought Galileo great wealth and fame.
