This act put a three cent tax on foreign refined sugar. It all so added the tax to coffee, indigo, and different types of wine. Another thing that it did other then add tax it banned rum and French wines from being imported. They felt as it was unfair to them(taxation without representation) they felt as if the king was infringing their freedom.
