    French and Indian War
    The French and Indian war provided Great Britain with enormous amounts of land in North America. This also led to insane amounts of war expenses, this led to the disagreement of colonist. The colonist were getting taxed and they did not want to.
  • The Sugar Act

    The Sugar Act
    This act extended the molasses act, changing the imports from the Caribbean from 0.6¢ per gallon to 0.3¢ per gallon. They in all cut the price but they did it to stop smuggling. The colonist were upset because it gave the British courts the right to try colonial smugglers, which took away from colonial courts that were known for being lenient on smugglers.
  • The stamp Act

    The stamp Act
    The stamp act passed a tax that all printed material had to be marked with a stamp, but the stamp was not free. This upset people who use paper like lawyers and newspaper writers. This caused many boycotts by the colonist, stealing British good causing the British to draw the act.
  • Declaratory Act

    Declaratory Act
    The declaratory Act generally showed the colonist that they have no control over the British. This acted towards the repeal of the stamp and sugar act. This caused the colonist to want to boycott more, and show their domination.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    This act worked to stop smuggling in all. This helped Great Britain benefit off of their taxes. This caused even more colonist to boycott because they couldn’t smuggle. This benefited workers who profited off these taxed goods.
  • Tea Act

    Tea Act
    The tea act offered tax rebates and exemptions for tea from the British east India tea company. It gave cheaper tea to the colonist which also lowered the price. Tea was such an important drink in these times, so it being taxed made the colonist upset. This caused this to dump 4 million dollars worth of tea int the Boston River.
  • Start of Revolutionary War

    Start of Revolutionary War
    The start of the revolutionary war started with creating the so called “intolerable acts”. These were the Massachusetts act, causing no self government. Quartering Act, which means colonist has to house British soldiers when commanded. Quebec act, which expanded territories of theirs and granted religious tolerations to Catholics. This started riots and clap backs, ultimately leading to the start of the revolutionary war.
