Robert Dinwiddlie sent a surveyor named George Washington to Ohio. Washington was 21 years old. His mission was to tell the French they were tresspassing on land Great Britain had claimed. -

Dinwiddie mad Washington lieutenant colonel. Then sent him back to Ohio with 150 men.
