    Who? : A group of determined Barons & arrogant King John. What?: The Magna Carta is known to be one of the most famous documents in the world. It was a series of written promises between the King and his people. The barons FORCED King John to sign them. When?: On June 15, 1215. Where?: On the plain at Runneymede in England. Why?:The barons forced King James to sign because they feared him abusing power and making up random laws. They wanted to feel protected.

    Who?: The English Parliament sent the document to King Charles I. What?: Showed what the king could and could not do. Contained restrictions on taxations, martial law use, and impisonment for no reason. When?: June 7, 1628 Where?: England Why?: They wanted to be sure that they had rights and that the king couldn't rule anything he wanted unfairly.

    Who?: Protest by Sons Of Liberty. What?: Samuel Adams and the Sons of Liberty boarded three ships in the Boston harbor and threw 342 chests of tea overboad. When?: December 16, 1773 Where?: In Boston, The Boston Harbor Why? Because of taxation. "No taxation without representation".

    Who?: British Parliament. What?: A set of punitive laws passed by British Parliament. When?: in 1774 Where?: Boston Why?: They were meant to punish the Massachusetts colonists for throwing lots of tea into Boston harbor.

What?: Announced that the thirteen American colonies, who were at war Great Britain, regarded themselves as thirteen newly independent sovereign states, and no longer a part of the British Empire. When? July 4, 1776 Where?: Independence Hall in Philadelphia. Why?: It contains the ideal goals of our nation.

    Who?: John Dickinson's draft of the Articles of Confederation is submitted to Congress for debate and revision. What?: Document that laid the rules for the American colonies before the constitution was adopted. When?: Articles were adopted on November 15, 1777, Not ratified by all 13 states until March 1, 1781. Where?: between all the 1 states. Why?: A new governing document was needed in order for these new states to act together, to become a nation.

    Who? Many of the US Founding Fathers. James Madison wrote the document that formed model for the Constitution. What? The supreme law of the United States of America. When? The overnment under the U.S. Constitution would begin on March 4, 1789. Where?: Philadelphia Why?: We need it because without it the state or country would be in a state of anarchy and also the government would be disorderly. The constitution protects our freedoms.
