The war was over the issue of communism and whether or not it should spread/exist. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas Texas by Lee Oswald. He was riding in a parade to gain support for the upcoming presidential election in 1964 when he was shot. The assassination was a tremendous disturbance to the American people because it was the first one in many American's lives.

The Black Panther Party was originally formed as part of the Civil Rights movements to aggressively bring the reality of discrimination and lack of opportunity for blacks to a national agenda. Nixon was trying to become friends with China so he sent a team of ping pong players to compete against the Chinese. The Watergate Scandal was when Nixon had several government agents spy on Democrats so he could win the upcoming election. The Supreme Court forced Nixon to give up videotapes that contained conversations about his plan and before they could impeach him, he resigned. In 1981 a breakout of a mysterious disease broke out which was soon to be called HIV. It was found in five young gay men in California and soon spread. By the end of the year, over 200 cases had been reported.
