    Apollo 11 was the first spacecraft to land humans on the moon. Neil Armstong and Buzz Aldrin were the first people to step on the moon. The landing was broadcast on live TV to a world-wide audience. Apollo 11 ended the Space Race and accomplished the national goal set in 1961 by President John F. Kennedy.

    In 1976, Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne founded the company in order to make and sell personal computers. In the years to come the Apple I, Apple II, and Apple III were created. The comapny was very successful. Following up was the success of Apple's Macintosh. Now, Apple is famous for its highly efficient and aesthetic devices.

    Reports of AIDS first came out in California by a few men who were thought to be in good health. The only thing that connected them all was that they were gay. The disease was first thought of to only be tracted by homosexuals, giving it the name GRID(gay-related immune deficiency). In June, the disease was found among heterosexuals as well, changing the name to AIDS.
