The Vietnam War was the most impactful war the US fought in due to its large number of young casualties and seemingly unecessary beginning. The war began by Dwight D. Eisenhower claiming Communist forces in Vietnam attacked US boats when, in fact, they did not. This lead to increasingly invasive attacks from the American government that slowly started to spark protest among the American public due to their high number of civilian casualties.

JFK was an American politician who served as the 35th president of the United States from January 1961 until his assassination in November 1963. John F. Kennedy was one of the most loved presidents in all of American history for many reasons. He was a civil rights activist and would work to turn the social norms for America to allow African American and Women Rights.

Introduced by JFK but after his assassination signed in by L. Johnson. This was a very big act that was signed as it completly turned the voting system and the norms of that era. It outlaws discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. It prohibits unequal application of voter registration requirements, and racial segregation in schools. Allowing for the foundation of American Society to be what it is today.

The Black Panther Party, originally the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense, was a political organization founded by Bobby Seale and Huey Newton in October 1966 in Oakland, California. Members such as Malcom X who worked alongside Martin Luther King Jr, pushed for Civil Rights.

Martin Junior King Luther can be argued as one of the most influentuel people of all time. He preached for equality for African Americans and spent all his life living for others. His methods were peaceful and left all included so long as they supported his cause.

On June 17, 1972, five men, including a salaried security coordinator for President Nixon’s reelection committee, were arrested for breaking into and illegally wiretapping the Democratic National Committee headquarters in the Washington, D.C. This was a revolutionary change for women rights as Roe v. Wade was a turning point in all women's lifestyles as it allowed for legalized abortion as long as it was in the first trimester. This was one of the first laws that gave women the power to control their bodies. In addition, it was a landmark case as it further increased women's rights.

Nixxon swore to help the nation to enter a period of healing. However, evidence shows other wise and with watergate being public forces president Nixxon to resign. After being caught and exposed on his attempt to cover up his secret dealings and break-in at democratic headquarters he decides it's better to honorably resign then as to be impeached.

After President Gerald Ford visited China in 1975 and reaffirmed American interest in normalizing relations with Beijing 4 years later the two countries reached an agreement. Diplomatic ties with China being established marked a turning point in US industry. Trade now being open with the two meant that America was able to increase it's imports and exports significantly and also had a large spike in job opportunities for both American and Chinese citizens.

The Cold War was an era spanning from after WW2, until 1991. The Cold War was a period of geopolitical tension between the Soviet Union with its satellite states, and the United States with its allies after World War II. This time period was filled with terror as any use of weapons or attacks on practically any dangerous nation would result in mutually assured destruction via nuclear weapons.
