On this day NASA sent the Apollo 11 on a mission to land on the moon. The astronauts inside the Apollo 11 were Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, Michael Collins. John Hinckley attempted to kill president Reagan outside of the Hilton Hotel. One of the bullets fired ricocheted off of Reagan's car and hit him in the chest.
