About 100,000 people marched around the White House. They protested against the war with large signs and chants. The anti war protest was targeted towards the Vietnam war and USA involvement.

This was an actual exchange of ping-pong players between United States and China during the 1970's. Ping-pong diplomacy was such a success that they lifted the embargo against China on June 10, 1971.

Goerge Wallace was shot at during a rally in Maryland, by Arthur Bremern. He was convicted for the assassination attempt on govenor Wallace.

Five members of the Nixon's Committee to Re-Elect the President attempted to break-in to the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee at the Watergate complex and took copies of top secret documents and hacked the office's phones. President Nixion tried to cover up the incident from the public.

A hurricane that was considered the worst during 1974. It made landfall on the US coast on August 20th- September 10th. Causing 162 million dollars in damage and 8 deaths.

Aids and HIV was first brought up during the 1980's. It was a big break out in the month of June in the US. Once the very first case was reported alot of death rates increased. By the 1990's death rates had declined.
