When Forrest got back from war there were scenes of the hippies who wanted world peace in that time. There were also black panthers who wanted there to be equal rights for African Americans. They were extremist and would do anything for it. -

In 1972, Ping-pong was a big thing in America. The army sent people overseas to play in huge ping-pong tournaments. Nixon was the president at this time. -
