Ku Klux Klan bombed black schools and churches and there was violence against black and white activists in the South, and murders. They hunted down black people, then soon the congress passed the Klu Klux Klan Act that authorized the use of federal troops in the Klan’s suppression and were sent to trial of its members in federal court.

    The Black Panther Party achieved power, national and international notoriety through black power movement in the United States. The two founders of the Black Panther Party were Huey Percy Newton and Bobby Seale. The party wanted equality in education, housing, employment and civil rights.

    MassacreA company of American soldiers named the Charlie company, killed most of the Vietnamese of My Lai. About 500 people including children, elderly, women and men were killed brutaly. Some of the women were gang-raped. Leader of the C company was convicted and was under house arrest. This event was one of the most horrific incident during the Vietnam war.

    Civil Rights leader, was also shot by a snipper in Tennessee. He was standing in his balcony of his hotel and the bullet went right through his right cheek. He was a the leader of the a Montgomery Bus Boycott in 1955, the spokesperson for nonviolent protest in the Civil Rights Movement and a Baptist minister.

    WatergateIt was a break in Democratic National Committee headquarters located in the Watergate building in Washington, D.C. Several burglars were arrested, for being connected to President Richard Nixon's relection campaign and were caught for steeling secret documents and wiretapping phones, which Nixon was involved in and tryed to cover it up. This scandal had put a mark on Nixon's reputation.

    President Ronald Reagan just finished giving a speech to a group of trade unionists at the National Conference of Building and Construction Trades Department. Just outside the Washington Hilton Hotel he was shot with one bullet puncturing his lung. Luckly he was alive but three others were injured in the shooting. John Hinckley Jr, a 25 year old was the one who opened the fire.
