Chapter 29 section 3 : Before school started all the African Americans got phone calls not to come to school. But Linda Brown only got calls by payphone. So she didn't get to answer the call to not come. The first day she went and she had trouble trying to get in the school and people saw the picture on the newspaper of the white people bothering her. So this helped segregate the school's faster. -
Desegregation of the University of Alabama
George Wallace was the governer of Alabama. He won office on the slogan "segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever" But he lied and stood in front of the adminstration office so the African Americans can't come into register. But kennedy sent hundreds of guards man to walk in the African Americans to register. -

John F. Kennedy was the 35th president. He was the youngest elected president. He also was the first catholic president. Kennedy started putting laws to end segregation in interstate travel facilities. -
