The United States got involved in the civil war against North and South Vietnam to contain communism.The U.S didnt want communism to spread to other countries, so the U.S helped South Vietnam to fight North Vietnam.     The Watergate Sandal was a major scandal that occurred in the U.S by President Nixon and his administration, On June 17, 1972 Nixon's administration broke into the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters at the Watergate office complex in Washington, D.C. to steal tapes to sabotage the opposing party in the election. Nixon's administration attempted to cover-up the scandal but failed. As a result on August 9, 1974, President Nixon resigned as President and 48 people were found guilty.

    Hurricane Carmen was a tropical cyclose of destructive winds and storms. It was a category 4 hurricane. It started from Africa and headed towards the carribeans. It eventually was predicted to hit the US in the city of New Orleans but went westwards to Louisana. It killed several people and made a $162 million of damage.
