The first colored TV was broadcasted on January 1 1954. It took all they way till the 1960’s for colored TV to become very popular and seen everywhere. By the late 1960s and early 1970s though, color sets had become standard and there was no more black and white. -

John Fitzgerald Kennedy was the 35th President of the United States. He was assassinated at 12:30 p.m.on Friday, November 22, 1963.This all happened in Dallas, Texas. -

company was founded on January 25, 1964. It was originally known as Blue Ribbon Sports. The founders were Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight. It officially became known as Nike on May 30, 1978 -
Vietnam War
In 1965 Johnson started the war and commanded air strikes on North Vietnam. 58,193 U.S. soldiers dead, and 350,000 injured. There were around 2 million Vietnamese citizens dead. -
Black Panthers Party
In 1967 they declared that black people will not be free until we are free to determine our own destiny. This all called for land, bread-housing, education, clothing, justice, and peace. -

Won his presidential election in 1968. When he came into office he attempted to redefine the relationships between the government and the states. Much of his support came from the middle class voters. -
Elmo
The show was first played on stations on November 10, 1969. Was known for the educational content, and creativity through the use of Muppets, animation, short films, humor, and cultural references. -
Chapter 34-2 . . . From watergate to ford
In 1972 the scandle that involved 5 men. They were caught breaking into offices of the Democratic National Committee in the Watergate offices and apartments complex in D.C. This involved spying devices and wiretap equipment. -
Carmen
Hurricane Carmen hit the Atlantic Coast on August 29 and lasted until September 10 in 1974. It hit Louisiana the most and was a category 4 hurricane with winds at 150 mph. -
Apple
Apple was created on April 1, 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne. Apple was incorporated on January 3, 1977. Apple was first shown to the public at the Homebrew Computer Club.
