    NSC stands for National Security Council Report 68. It was a 66-page top-secret policy paper. It was one of the most important statements of American policy that launched the Cold War.
  • USIA

    United States Information Agency is in charge of promoting the US's image across the world. They do it through radio and TV ads. The US will also do athlete​, student, and medical exchanges.
  • NASA

    National Aeronautics and Space Administration was created after the Soviets put their first satellite into space. The information​ they collect has to be shared to keep the world peaceful.
  • Cuban Missile Crisis

    It was the closest the US and the Soviet Union ever came to nuclear war. A discussion between Kennedy and Khrushchev resulted in the USSR dismantling the bases in Cuba in exchange for the US dismantling our missile bases in Turkey.
