    Bread was made more convenient by coming presliced instead of slicing It by hand. It was first sold in 1928, advertised as "the greatest forward step in the baking industry since bread was wrapped".

    Around 1930, Nestlé and the Brazilian Coffee Institute jointly developed an instant coffee, which then became popular during the Second World War. From then on, its popularity only grew.
