    Botulism outbreak at Trini and Carmen's Restaurant
    In 1977 at the mexican restaurant Trini and Carmen's served a sauce made with improperly canned jalepenos in Pontiac, Michigan. Type B Botulism was first recorded three days after the sauce was served. Ultimately, 58 people got seriously sick. This was the second outbreak in the U.S. due to improperly canned jalepenos.     Caused by Jalisco soft Mexican-style cheese, Listeria infected 142 poeple in the Los Angeles and Orange County area. Nearly 40 people died from the infection that grew in a soft cheese that was not refrigerated properly.

    Up to 12,000 people were affected in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, and Wisconsin. There was a packaging issue where milk with a wrong expiration date was sent to consumers in multiple states and was consumed by all of them. There was a few reported deaths, as there was such a huge number of people affected.

    Hundreds of people were affected when ground beef distributed to many restaurants including those in the Seattle area was infected with E. Coli from not being correctly cleaned. Hundreds of people were infected but only a few children died from it.

    Over a million pounds of frozen strrawberries were recalled due to improper treatment in their Mexico processing plant. 153 total cases were reported and there were no deaths.     In a Sizzler restaurant in Wisconson, E. Coli was caused by cross-contamination in a meat processing plant and ready to eat area. There was over 60 cases reported, but only one girl died from the outbreak.

    At Ch-Chi's restaurant in Monaca Pennsylvania, there was a Hepatitis A outbreak due to green onions being in contact with feces and not being cleaned properly.
