    The Quartering Act The quartering act was in 1765. The quartering act was a law. This law required colonists to provide food and housing for the British soldiers. This made the colonists very, very mad. They didn’t like or know why they had to pay for the soldiers’ food and houses. The soldiers had too much power and violated the rights of the colonists. The quartering act passed in 1765.
  • The Townshend Acts

    The Townshend Acts
    The Townshend Acts The Townshend acts were passed in 1767. This act put taxes on many household things. Custom officials collected the taxes as the items sent to America. This law sent the colonists went jack because they most defiantly hated this dumb law. I know I would hate that law if that was me.
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre By this time, the colonists resented the soldiers. They called the British soldiers, lobsterbacks, because of their red uniforms. At one time, some boys began throwing snowballs at the British soldiers. A crowd gathered and continued to bother soldiers. The soldiers fired into the crowd. Five colonists were killed in the incident. Paul revere made a famous engraving of the Boston Massacre.
  • The Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party
    The Boston Tea Party The sons of liberty decided to protest against the taxing for the tea. They dressed up as American Indians and went to the Boston harbor. The protesters rowed out to the cargo ships carrying the tea. They boarded the ships and dumped all of the tea on board into the ocean. In the end 10,000 pounds of tea was dumped into the harbor.

    Patrick Henry’s Speech In 1775 Patrick Henry gave a speech that inspired many to fight the British. He soon was one of the signers of the Declaration Of Independence.
