    He was mainly known for being the writer of the declaration of independence and was one of the following fathers. When he became president he bought a large amount of land, was 13 colonies. Was the first secretary of state when George Washington was president and Thomas was vice president.

    Thomas Jefferson doubled the Louisiana purchase. Thomas Jefferson urges congress to fund the Lewis and Clark discovery. Sacajawea joins the expedition made by Lewis and Clark as the expedition departs from Fort Mandan.

    He was known for making a document that tells a bold statement that the United States and the Europeans wouldn’t let them go further in the colonization. Monroe was part of the army then left it to become a lawyer and also worked for Jefferson then he thought more and was part of the continental congress after that he became president. The southern wanted Missouri to be a slave state but the north wanted it to be a free state but it was more on the south and he agreed it would be a slave state.

    He was known as the second president and for being the son of the founding fathers. John Quincy tried to raise a tariff and helped American businesses. He used his power to stop slavery and had a war about slavery.

    He was the first common man to become president and when he became president he changed the laws, he was called the “War Hero” from war 1812. In 1812 he earned National fame, then he was appointed leader and General of the Tennessee military. In the war, he led the military to victory when the British went to New Orlean.

    Around 1830 there was a trail called trails of tears. They had to walk 800 miles over their long walk and they had to walk 10miles per day. The reason why they had to walk 800 miles was that the British settlers wanted to make the Indian land cotton area. The reason that they had to keep on walking was that the British would follow them and shove them to continue 150,000 died and some of their family die.
