Tribal Nations and schools have mostly shut down. UW is primarily online and label these quarters as "extraordinary circumstances quarters."

Autumn 2020. First experiment (beta test) doing digital stories with a UW grad/ undergrad level class; 17 enrolled students. Created digital stories on Sway. Digital stories included: Indigenous Allyship

Co-taught Taskforce class with Jonathan Warren and Patrick Christie; 13 enrolled students including (12 JSIS fourth year students and 1 AIS student, Jade). Projects centered on research project on saving the Salish Sea primarily through indigenous-led restoration projects and resistance to fossil fuel projects like the TMX in Canada.

Field trip with Elsie's science class to a salmon fishery and then a drive to the base of Mt. Rainier to release dozens of adult Coho salmon to spawn in the rivers.

Sway-la takes some time away from CLS teaching to work on his own grad degree and spend time with his first baby daughter.

4-hour workshop with CLS students to collect media and outline digital story ideas; primarily centered on stories about CLS curriculum and the canoe journey.

First viewing event of digital stories at Chief Leschi School in conjunction with the opening of their new auditorium. Featured concert show with Keith Secola, Quiltman, Casper Lemoysova, Sten Joddi, and actor Gary Farmer. Showed 3 CLS/UW created stories as well as the short doc on the project.
