~ most of the joints are formed and the fetus is able to curve fingers around objects placed in its hands.

~ the vocal chords begin to form
~ the ears shift to the normal sides of head
~the liver begins to function and the pancreas begins to produce insulin -

~ the legs have grown longer than the arms and the body is now longer than the head
~ the skin is there but very thin, so thin you can see blood vessils
~the eyebrows are begginning to grow along with the hair on the head -
week 20
~ the muscle in the legs is increasing therefore the baby will start to kick
~the baby can hear noises and may start to startle
~ the nerves for the 5 senses are now devlopiong -
week 22
~the eyelids and eyebrows are fully formed and the finger nails are grown to the ends of finger tips
~ the babys liver is now starting to break down billiruben
~the 5 senses are now more developed and the fetus can hear you much clearer -
week 24
~the baby gains about 6 ounces at week 24 and most of the weight comes from the bone mass and organs.
~ the taste buds are forming
~ the baby is devolping lungs and branches of the respitory tree -
week 27
~the lungs continue to grow and the baby now takes small breaths
~the eyelids are more open and the baby can distinguish between light and dark
~the baby will grow over an inch during this week -
week 30
~about a pint and a half of amniotic fluid surounds it at this point
~the bone marrow is now in charge of red blood cell production
~the baby now has the capability to produce tears -
week 34
~the baby is acting completely like a newborn eye open and close when sleeping
~the baby may have already turned down into head-down position
~antibodies from the mothers blood are being transferred to the baby
