    Conception

    Sperm cell penetrates the egg in the fallopian tube. The egg cell coats itself preventing other sperm from penetrating it. In the next 3-4 days the fertilized egg begins to develop and move itself to the uterus. It then floats free in the uterus for about 2-3 days. The pregnancy begins when the ball attaches to the uterus, this is known as "Implantation". Which starts 6 days after fertilization and lasts 3-4 days.

    First Trimester : last for about 3 months

    The first sign of pregnancy is missing your period. There are other signs such as fatigue, feeling bloated, urinating a lot, mood swings, nausea and your breast being sore. It is very known to have food cravings too. During the first trimester the fetus is very delicate and can be damaged easily. In the first trimester the placenta is developed. The mouth, lower jaw and throat starts to develop. At the end of the first month the baby is about the size of a grain of rice.

    Second trimester: last about 3 months

    In the second trimester the sex of the baby can be determined. The baby hair and taste buds begin to develop. The reproductive glands begin to develop also. The fetus is 25 cm at the end of the trimester. The women ovaries starts to form thousands of eggs. They begin developing things to protect their skin, and bone marrow beings to make blood cells. The baby will begin to move and the women can feel it. Symptoms can include heartburn, constipation and breast size will grow.
  • Period: to

    Third trimester : last trimester

    The fetus is 34-36 cm by the ending of this trimester. They brain tissue and scalp continue to grow. Muscles begin to mature and the baby begins to gain weight. Bones begin to harden. The baby will begin to open their eyes, and moves a lot more. Toenails and fingernails will form. The baby will complete its last steps of development before being born.
