    Background about ISIS

    They aimed to create a fellowship to "help the Goddess actively in the manifestation of Her divine plan, describing Isis as a "god in female form". Isis, the goddess in Ancient Egypt, the wife of Osiris, resurrected him after his murder.
  • Start of the FOI

    The FOI grew out of a "working group" created in 1963 called the Huntington Castle Centre for Meditation and Study. The center was an active centre, gathering various occult figures to join.
  • Creation of ISIS

    The FOI was founded at Huntington Castle, Co. Carlow, Ireland at the Vernal equinox, created Olivia Robertson, Lawrence Durdin Robertson and Pamela Robertson, Lawrence's wife.
  • Growth of ISIS

    From 1976 to the start of the 1990's, the religion grew substantially, having over 26,000 members
  • ISIS's Recognition

    The Fellowship of Isis was represented at the Parliament of the World's Religions in Chicago in August 1993. It was acknowledged as "a world faith". It was also a sponsor of the parliament, sharing this honor with the Covenant of the Goddess

    The religion is spread out through other major religions such as Catholics, Protestants, Buddhists, Spiritualists, and Hindus.
  • Cressida Pryor's promotion

    The old co-founder Olivia Robertson appointed her niece Cressida Pryor as her successor in the "spiritual and ethical work of the Fellowship of Isis". She is currently the Steward of the FOI Foundation Center in Ireland.
  • Death of Olivia Robertson

    In 2013, Robertson, the co-founder of the fellowship of ISIS passed away at the age of 96.
  • Summary

    The Fellowship of ISIS believes in full religious tolerance, forbids sacrifice of any kind, and discourages asceticism. The religion in 2002, allows all different kinds of religion into theirs including Catholics and Protestants. The religion also forbids the usage of sacrifice because God in this religion is considered venerated. The religion also believes in that all of its members are equal and that no one is above one another. The religion endorses themes of love and abundance.
