Departmental Honors in Psychology
Getting accepted into the honors department of psychology will be very rewarding for my transcript, and resume. It won't be easy to get in, but I believe if I am working with my Academic Advisor, I will be able to make a plan to complete my Bachelor of Arts with Departmental Honors. -

I will be attending an internship in PSY A495 (Psychology Practicum) in order to obtain experience for psychological, behavioral, or social services. Getting to be with a supervisor and building a relationship will also be beneficial as a reference for future jobs. -

Joining Psi Chi (International Honor Society in Psychology)
The benefits of joining a club would be meeting new people, obtaining new skills within the field. When it comes to psychology, I can talk to other psychology majors on what their future career goals are, and potentially get advice for my path into the psychology world. -

Psychology Internship
Internships have the benefit of adding valuable work experience in the field of my choosing. It will give me a taste of day-to-day job duties, and obtain transferable skills such as working with others, and communication skills. -

Obtaining Teacher's Letter of Recommendation
Building a relationship with one of my psychology professors will help my qualifications of heading into graduate or medical school, but I will also obtain valuable information from a mentor-like figure. A letter of recommendation helps build credibility, and will help me stick out from other applicants for future job opportunities. -

Becoming a Teacher's Assistant
Going further into getting a letter of recommendation, I also want to plan ahead by becoming a teacher's assistant to build my relationship even further. Time management will be challenged, but will also be improved because I will have to balance time for school. This will be treated like an actual job for me because I will have to make time for grading papers, or potentially having office hours for students to come visit if they are struggling in the class.
