    Spark-Lexington and Concord
    The Redcoats were marching to Concord to capture rebel lewaders and supplies. Paul Revere warned the militia, and they held their ground in Lexington, the "shot heard round the world" was fired anonymosly, and thus the war began. The British won the skirmish and marched on to Concord, where they lost and retreated. #shotheardroundtheworld

    First- Battle of Bunker Hill
    In the early war, this battle was won by the British. However, this was still a good battle for the rebels, for they had inflicted serious casualties on the British side. Half of the Redcoats resulted in casualties. This boosted the rebel's confidence a lot, even if Britain took Boston. #indirectvictory

    Turning Point-Saratoga

    This was the turning point of the war. To this point, the Rebels were losing heavily and they needed to get France's support. The English tried to cut the colonies in half by cutting through New York, but the colonists were ready. They won the battle and gained the French support.     After the War, the Colonists have now gained their freedom. They on are their own, so they need a government. This was the first attempt for the government setup. It united all the colonies into one contry, and each "state" got say in a Congress by sending representatives. However, the government could not tax, did not have a navy, did not have a court system, and did not have power to enfore laws. #Fail

    Low Point- Valley Forge

    Valley Forge(quote is on page) Valley Forge is a six month encampment from December 1777 to June 1778. The Continental soldiers there were suffering. It was bitterly cold, the army had scarce clothes, food, and other resources. Many died, and many more were leaving. Thomas Paine wrote a book called "The Crisis", and the French heled out as well, training. "The Crisis" caused many people to stay and come back. #Hope

    Last-Yorktown

    Yorktown---The Rebel armies and allies trapped the British. Rebel troops came from the north, led by Washington, to back up the troops in the south. The French came in from the east, to blockade any retreat into the ocean. The Redcoats were trapped, and General Corwallis surrendered, ending the war. #victory

    Resolution-Treaty of Paris of 1783
    This was after the war, and the colonists and English came to agreement. Negotiations started in 1782, and the treaty was finally agreed apon in 1793. It was signed in the Hotel d'York in Paris. #Freedom (the rest of the description is Here ) Peace Treaty
