    The law put a Tax on imported sugar, coffee, indigo, and related items. The tax was made due to the debt gained in the french and indian war. The effect on merchants was significant and this was the time that people started protesting taxation without representation.

    Every Newspaper, pamphlet, and other public and legal document had to have a stamp on it. The stamp cost money and went to British. The colonist decided they didnt want to pay for things that they have done for years, The act was appealed after backlash from the colonist.

    The Congress was made in response to the stamp act. It was the first congress between england and american representatives.

    The taxes were on glass, lead, paints, paper, and tea. The colonists reaction was the same as the previous acts. In response to the protests Britain sent troops to America.

    In response to the tea tax a group of men dressed as indians went on a ship and dumped a ton of tea into the boston harbor, in response, Britain barracaded the harbor.

    The Congress was a group of 56 delegates from 12 colonies. They came together to act in response to the intolerable act. The congress also created the Continental army to organize war against Britain.
