Events leading to the Revolutionary war

  • Treaty of paris

    Treaty of paris
This war was the war that officially ended the French and Indian war.Its where the british had gained control over the area west of the 13 colonies.

I rate the treaty of paris a 1 because it affected all of the 13 colonies as well it also ended the war between the French and Indian war.
  • Proclomation of 1763

    Proclomation of 1763
This was issued by the united kingdom goverment in the name of King George the lll to prohibit the "British colonist" from crossing the Applachian mountines. They drew a line so british wont cross but they stil did. The reason why they did was ecause there was free land.
I rated the Proclomation of 1763 a 3 because the british went over the line not knowing that the french left . But all they found was free land but no conflict because the french has left ,
  • Sugar act .

    Sugar act .
British placed a tax on sugar, wine, and other important things. This only happend because the british wnated more money . This made the people in the colonies very upset there fore this had caused a boycott.
I rated the sugar act a 1because the sugar act got solved & nothing happend after.
  • Stamp act

    Stamp act
The stamp act placed new duities on legal documents such as wills, diplomas, and marriage papers . It also taxed news papers, alamcs, playing cards even dice ! .There was a stamp placed on the item after you payed to totsl price you payed the tax .
I rate the Stamp act a 2 because people got tarred and feathed but it got solved . A petition was signed by many people and they joined together and created a boycott on british goods.
  • Tea act

    Tea act
The Tea act gave a monoply on tea sales to the east india company .In other words , american colonist could by NO tea unless it came from the company .
I rate the Tea act a 3 because " No taxation without representation" meant that they couldnt by tea from anyone else (inculding others) without spending alot more money there response has to refuse to unload the tea from ships . This was the event that lead to the Boston tea party.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
American colonist callin them selves " Sons of Liberty" and disguised as mohawk Native Americans borded three british ships and dumbed 342 whole crates of British Tea. into Boston harbor on December 16th 1773.
I rated the Boston Tea Party a 2 because the got dumped in New jersey , New york and Maryland . The next few months the Tea was eventually boycotted throughout colonies ,
