The writing of the constitution was an event that showed rules and helped with the country. For instance, it helps create a government that puts the power in the hands of the people. They are basically just tips on how to become a better nation. -

The Lewis and Clark expedition was when two travelers, (Lewis and Clark) went to the western portion of the United States and wanted to see what was over there. -

This event was when Senator Henry Clay became known as the Great Pacificator. This is when Missouri wanted to become a slave state. This went crazy because it was over the Louisiana Territory. -

The manifest destiny was a doctrine or belief that the expansion of the Us was both justified and inevitable. It also helped the pioneers believe that there was and angel leading them to somewhere sacred and perfect. -
Bleeding Kansas
Bleeding Kansas was one of the worst events that happened in U.S history. The bleeding Kansas event was when Kansas was wondering if they should be a free state, or a slave state. This then lead to events that lead into chaos. -

The Civil war was a war against our very own nation. One side wanted to have slaves while the other side didn't want to have slaves. The south side, (slaves) wanted to have their own nation so they separated themselves with the north. The north didn't want that, so they started a war with the south -

The Reconstruction Era was when the south was joining the north after the civil war. For instance, they needed to rebuild buildings, they needed to join forces with the north by having company's down there. It still keeps on going till this day. -
The Assassination of Abraham Lincoln
This event was tragic when it came to the people. A person named John Wilkes Booth did this because he thought that if Abraham Lincoln was dead, life will start all over and the south will have slaves again. This backfired and everybody started to go crazy because they didn't have a leader to lead their country.
