The south side, (slaves) wanted to have their own nation so they separated themselves with the north. The north didn't want that, so they started a war with the south

A person named John Wilkes Booth did this because he thought that if Abraham Lincoln was dead, life will start all over and the south will have slaves again. This backfired and everybody started to go crazy because they didn't have a leader to lead their country.
