French and Indian war ends.British continue fighting Indians who rebelled.This moves it to where there will be future taxes.

Proclamation is signed forcing them to stay out of any place west of the Appalachian mountains.It will now be governed as Indian territory.

Parliament is passed.This is a number of acts. The goal is set to make enough money to pay French and Indian war debts. The most "objectional" part was the Sugar Act. It increased tax of sugar and coffee.

Boston town meeting occurs protesting against Greenville measures.James Otis Begins to discuss complaints of taxation without representation. He then calls for all the colonist to unite together.

Stamp act goes through Parliament. This was the first direct Act passed on the colonies.Money earned will go toward British Military.

The Quartering Act falls into place and forces colonists to allow soldiers to stay in their home at any time and eat their food.

Stamp act starts to fall into effect, but colonist refuse to use stamps, so business is basically stopped.

New York assembly refuses to stop fighting against quartering act. They will not house the soldiers.

Townshend Acts pass parliament introducing a number of external taxes including duties on items like paper, glass, and tea. Additional infrastructure is setup to ensure enforcement in America.

British regiments come in and start to enforce laws on all people.

Boston Massacre occurs which kills and injures multiple colonists. This will now go against the soldiers.

The British customs vessel Gaspee gets attacked.

The Tea Act goes into effect, putting tax on all tea.

The Boston Tea Party occurs. A group of colonists board ship and dump tea into the ocean.

The Coercive Acts pass parliament. One of these is the Boston Port Bill which does not allow any shipping unless it is for military supplies.

Massachusetts militiamen attack the British arsenal at Fort William and Mary in Portsmouth after being warned of a plan to station troops there.
